Why does the Autumn have to be so BUSY???
Not only are we back to homeschooling, but we're also taking a trip really soon, to my Aunt's & Uncle's & cousins! For 2 weeks! & then we're going to Vancouver, where I lived the first 7 years of my life, & we'll be seeing our old friends, the ocean, a BIG museum, & Science World!
Check it out: http://www.scienceworld.ca/
So I've been busy getting another school year started, getting ready for travelling, & preparing for my Cat, Blossom, to have her kittens right after we get home!
I've still been inventing raw recipes for my mom, & she still loves MOST of them! (I did try to invent a raw pie that LOOKED GREAT, but it was pretty dense, heavy, & not nearly sweet enough! I'll post pics soon, & share some of my new recipes REAL soon, as soon as things slow down a little!
Stay healthy!

Back in the morning! (& where is everybody?!?!?)
Go to http://www.goneraw.com/ & pick one new recipe you want to try this week, get the ingredients, make it, & send me a report on how it turned out! If you have a camera, send me a picture at my mom's e-dress & I'll post it on the blog! stazia@telus.net {If you can, have someone else take the picture so you can be in it, too!}
The mini-challenge is to tell someone you love a little about raw foods & this challenge you're doing here (you can share the link with them if you like!), & (optional challenge) if they have health problems google things about raw curing/helping that problem, & send them the link in an e-mail, just cuz you love them!
& then come let me know who you told, & how they received it!
Oh, & my notebook's name is juicyfruit, cuz I LOVE gum (but my mom'll only get me the kind from the health food store! Haha! But now I love REAL juicy Fruit!)
Gotta go to bed now, we're trying to get back on a morning schedule now that my homeschooling is starting up again!
Stay Healthy!

September Challenge!!! Day1 !!! Challenge yourself !!!
If you aren't signed up yet, you have until tonight, (Ok, I'll give you until tomorrow!) & there'll be a new challenge starting on October 1st...so hurry if your gonna join us for this one!
{& if you missed the deadline, don't worry, you can still follow along, & do the daily & weekly challenges with us, & just join up on October 1st! You just won't qualify to be a challenge winner at the end of the month...(details & the prize to be announced tomorrow afternoon!}
Every day I am going to have a mini challenge, and then every Tuesday I will have a big challenge, (& that's weigh-in day, if your goal, too, is to shed some pounds, cuz my mom weighs in on Tuesdays, cuz it's Biggest Loser day! (The New Season starts on September 16th!)
Then, rather than a video every day, I will have one at least twice a week (two or three videos a week is my goal).
Also for those of you who aren't 100% percent raw, that's fine, as long as you're still as raw as possible, & you might find you want to be more raw as the month progresses!
( I'm doing it about 95% raw myself...some days I'm 100%, though!)
So, with that said, the mini challenge for today is...
{...Drum roll please...}
Go find an empty notebook, & decorate the cover with pictures of fruits or vegetables, (you can add to it as you find pictures) and have it as your raw food challenge notebook! Even if all you write in it is what you eat everyday, it's very beneficial to have even that written down for learning from later.
Another good use for that notebook is to write down the recipes that you create or even recipes that you like to read about & want to try! (& make notes on what you liked/didn't like about them when you do try them, what you added, left out, changed...then when you make the recipe in the future, you have accurate notes on it!)
Also, make a list of any & all your health problems/concerns, & then you can see how long it takes them to clear up as you nourish your body with lots of REAL food! (even minor things we think are normal & everyone has, like regular colds/headaches, skin blemishes, dry skin, not sleeping well, indigestion, gas (!!!) etc.)
And if you want to lose weight, {I've lost 2 pounds so far! & want to lose maybe 8 more...?} you can keep track of your starting weight in your notebook, too! (& get someone to help you take your measurements, too...I've learned that sometimes you lose inches before pounds!)
Oh, & give your notebook a name!
(I'd love to hear what you call yours! And I'll tell you all about mine tomorrow!)
By the way, each week of the challenge, we're going to have a THEME...
...& this weeks theme is DETOX! (Because it can happen when you first go raw, & as you're healing, & there's lots I'm learning about it in all it's various forms, & I'd like to share that with you, share what I'm going through as I've been transitioning to more & more raw, & hear about your experiences. I'll be posting some links on this tomorrow, feel free to share yours in the comments section, & I'll post them, too!)

Purple Delight!!!!!
Do any of you want to join my raw food challenge? Send me a comment with you email address and I will send you the details. I just wanted to share with you a new recipe for today, so here it is (sorry, no picture this time around, but I promise there will be one next time!).
Ingredients:
- Half a head of cabbage
- Four to five Tbs of oil ( i used sesame, & it tasted great, but can use flax, ect.)
- Add any spices similar to mrs. dash or a vegetable mix
- Half a purple onion
- sesame seeds! (lots!)
Chop the purple cabbage and purple onion very thinly, toss in bowl, add oil, then the spices & seeds, stir and serve. (Of course, you can always add other veggies, to make it cole slaw-ish, but this is the best way I've ever had it! Even better than my mom's!!!)
I hope that everybody enjoys this recipe!

~Cashew of Banana Recipe~
Its called, "Cashew of Banana", & it's really easy to make!
- half a cup of cashews soaked in water overnight
- two good bananas (or more!)
- half a cup of water
(My mom likes it even more when it's cold from the fridge, but I like it room temperature!)
You could also add cinnamon, or other things like ginger, nutmeg, chunks of banana (but then you should add a few more nuts, so it's a little thicker, or a little less water...), even vanilla!
Enjoy! It's really filling, one bowlful is a great breakfast!
Stay healthy,
~Hannah-Banana~
A welcome, & a challenge invitation!
A couple months ago my mom decided to go raw (that means that you don't eat anything cooked), and she was just making salads and smoothies, so I didnt want to join her...but one day, she started making another recipe, and then I realized that there were more possibilities with raw than I thought!
The next day I made up a BUNCH of raw recipes, and have been raw since then! I realized how much I enjoyed it, (& I sure have a LOT more energy, even already!) and I thought that you guys would like to make some raw healthy food, too, so thats why I made this blog!
I also had a great idea for this blog! I will be having 30 day challenges where anybody can join (especially kids)! I will also be posting new recipes, and sometimes videos, every day, so that if you do the raw challenges, you can make stuff!
The first 30 day challenge starts september 1st! If you would like to join, please post a comment saying so, with you name (or a made up name), and your email address, and I will send you a little quiz to fill out. Thanks everybody!
Later!
Stay healthy,
